Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1895-O AU
Lot Number: 423
Description: M. Diatom Collection. Liberty's cheek has been affected by some delicate friction from brief circulation, and the eagle's breast feathers display a faint touch of wear as well, although overall, this is a better struck 1895-O dollar than average. The classic baking-soda method has evidently been used to brighten the coin at some point, as it is a bit pale for the AU-55 sharpness level, yet that might also allow this very difficult issue to fit well within an AU/BU collection. Mostly lustrous and reasonably appealing as a bright white example.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
