Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1893-CC PCGS UNC details/cleaned
Lot Number: 405
Description: M. Diatom Collection. What PCGS implies with the "cleaned" disclaimer is certainly true in that the coin has seen its fair share of baking-soda treatment, but everyone has seen numerous examples straight-graded after similar processing. The quality is simply going to seem quite a bit nicer than expected for the lucky new owner, as both sides retain considerable luster and frothy white texture, not at all out of line with a silver dollar graded MS-61. The abrasions resting on the lower cheek are not from circulation, but represent the kind of bagmarks common to Carson City dollars of the 1890s.
