Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1880-CC MS-63 and an 1881-CC MS-64, both PCGSCAC
Lot Number: 305
Description: So similar in appearance that they seem to be twins (aside from date, obviously), even the single point's disparity in grade seems out of place for peas in a pod such as these. Surprisingly clean fields surround the central portraits for 1880-CC, with opulent, frosty white luster weaving in and out of the peripheral devices as it chases light across either side. Similarly, 1881-CC comes alive with vibrancy when lit up by 75-watts of illumination, with similarly clean fields bouncing wide, flashy bands of luster. The latter may coin may be a smidgeon sharper than its companion in terms of strike, and the lucky new owner will get a beautifully matched pair of Carson Citys with acquisition of this two coin lot.
