Description: Gentle Water Ripples Collection. Collector appeal: "get the party started". Early copper, pre-1829 half-dimes, pre-1828 dimes, and the 1796 quarter are absent, which means the new owner has plenty of decisions to make toward completion of this type collection, and the standard set by coins presented suggests the VF to XF range as the ideal target for a consistently attractive achievement. There are, however, plenty of highlights herein, so jumping right into it, the cataloger suggests: 1858 cent (XF/smoothed), 1864 "large motto" 2-cent (UNC/improperly toned), 1865 3-cent (AU, very nice), 1858 half-dime (AU, nicely album toned), 1862 dime (UNC/scratched), 1887 nickel (AU/cleaned), 1829 dime (AU/old cleaning, but now mostly recovered), 1837 no-stars dime (Fine), 1875-S 20-cent (VF/struck on defective planchet), 1805 quarter (AG), 1818 quarter (Fine/graffiti/cleaned), 1834 quarter (Fine), 1857 quarter (VF/cleaned, but now mostly retoned quite nicely), 1875 quarter (XF), 1873 quarter (XF/old cleaning), and 1892 quarter (XF/scratched).
