"WOW!" is the first impression this 1928 Saint-Gaudens gives the collector who knows that choice MS-66 double eagles are much rarer than the population reports would have you believe. Many $20 coins have crossed the Gem plateau that would have been considered undeserving of that designation in previous generations. The current example would satisfy even the most old-school, strict grader's standard of the NGC MS-66 grade - and CAC agrees.
