Lot Title: 1866 Liberty Seated quarter PR-60, plus a 1932 Washington quarter MS-63
Lot Number: 979
Description: The Quantum Collection. Collector appeal: "so colorful". Magnificent color plays over the 1866 quarter, and if not for some past mishandling, it would be a mind-blowing psychedelic wunderkind. Brilliant, vivid cobalt, sea-green, magenta-orange and ruby-gold surround both sides in a magnificent array of color, but lurking below is the presence of quite a few hairlines in the fields, a couple abrasions strewn upward to the left, and an interesting planchet defect (on a proof!) embedded in Liberty's gown. So much going on here! Accompanying is a placid (by comparison) 1932 quarter that features dusky album toning that shades between ebony-cobalt and orange tone. Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade.
