Lot Title: 1839 Drapery, and an 1849-O, both PCGS AU-55
Lot Number: 870
Description: CB's Consignment. With drapery represents the final type for the new Seated Liberty dollars and continued to be used thereafter for the series. The inaugural 1839 displays suitable near-white luster with a splash of darker ebony-violet at upper right, and a terrific strike. Surprisingly, the 1849-O perhaps betters the sharpness of its companion, as it shows exacting detail and unexpectedly sparkling luster that stretches almost entirely through the fields. This example is just about stark white as well, with only a fragile layer of patina. Two coin lot.
