Lot Title: 1832 PCGS MS-63 (shield)
Lot Number: 746
Description: Logan-McCloskey-1 is always a safe bet for 1832, being one of the most common of all die-marriages, and easily recognized by the heavily repunched twelfth star and proximity of "A" to the arrowhead on the reverse. An extensively lustrous example, both sides display pleasing, mossy indigo-grey patina overall, thickening slightly outside the stars. Intricately defined, each obverse star features full centers and segmentation, and segments of the eagle's talons may literally be counted individually with the aid of a loupe, attesting to a terrific strike.
