Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1925-D PCGS MS-64
Lot Number: 740
Description: 388 graded MS-64, 143 higher at PCGS. A lovely very-choice example, both sides display ruddy earth-tone and some intriguing, subtle iridescence. The majority of all existing high-grade examples of this date will show poor definition, as the Denver mint was suffering the same issues as San Francisco -- overused dies -- by 1925. Technically, the sharpness seen here is a little better than usual, since the bison's horn shows an absolutely complete outline, the end of his tail actually shows a complete divide, and even the Indian displays bold major features. However, some softness can be seen at the feather to the extreme left, corresponding to the peak of the bison's head.
