Description: Aficionados of early copper will appreciate a pair of Redbook entries at approachable levels. The 1855 "knob on ear" displays the famous knob to sizable effect, indicating late dies. 1853 probably should have received only a "brown" designation, but the surface does display about 20% of the original mint red beneath slightly glossy texture. Two coin lot.
