Description: The Quantum Collection. Cohen-1 is the only die-marriage for 1857. 7 graded MS-64 RD, 2 higher at NGC. Stunning in terms of the true, original brick-red mint color, it is such a pleasure to view early copper whose reddish hue has not been "helped" by outside processes. This is truly an achievement for a copper coin that has survived past its sesquicentennial. The grade is determined by the presence of quite a few tiny carbon flecks, but the surface benefits from a virtually complete absence of abrasions.
