Description: The Quantum Collection. 2 graded MS-62 RD, 2 higher at PCGS. Cohen-1 has the second "0" in the date curling closer toward the bust, and the wreath on the reverse terminates with single leaf clusters at the top. The total "red" population, according to PCGS, is four pieces, placing this example in exclusive company, since even "red-brown" examples are very rare for the date. Remarkably brazen flame-orange mint color emanates from the surface, highly reminiscent of the character seen for Randall hoard large-cents, thus implying fair odds that the color is original, and not "created". Minor carbon flecks are an inevitable characteristic for UNC copper of this vintage, and portions of each side have modestly faded to burgundy-grey.
