Description: Shawl Consignment. 39 graded MS-64, 30 higher at PCGS. Singularly precise detail will immediately be seen as a hallmark of this San Francisco product. While the late-emission Philadelphia Barber half-dollars get all the attention as being keys to the series, 1914-S actually has a lower population in upper grades than the 1914(-P). A brassy-laden example, the present coin bristles with lustrous energy but may be displaying some effects of an improperly rinsed old dip. The cataloger recommends proper conservation.
