Description: Sheldon-287 is the only die marriage for 1811. The reverse possesses finer technical quality than expected of a Classic Head cent, as it shows natural smoothness out of character for the type. "Tooled", as denoted by PCGS, references an ill-advised attempt to scale the obverse and disguise the presence of some roughness originally present on that side. A distinct, lengthy scratch down the portrait has also been tooled and the whole surface recolored to disguise the "enhancements".
