Description: Sheldon-270 is the only die marriage for 1806, with a later die-state denoted by the bulging of the die behind the lower curls. Sharpness in this case lies right on the cusp of AU-50, as denoted by NGC's "AU details" appellation, and the obverse planchet bears reasonably attractive presence, although careful smoothing has greatly subdued the effects of tiny corrosion pits gathering toward the top. More pitting can be seen on the reverse toward peripheral areas, once again smoothed over by some careful cleaning process that led to the NGC disclaimer.
