Description: Samuel Lawrence Collection. The severity of the cleaning technically isn't particularly worthy of the "harshly cleaned" disclaimer all by itself. Rather, it's what was "there before" that matters, as it appears the surface previously showed overall porosity, possibly from exposure to salt water. Since then, the surface has been burnished so as to smooth down the overall texture. Nearly all of the as-struck detail has been retained, as befits an AU-50 sharpness level.
