Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1835 PCGS MS-63
Lot Number: 184
Description: Mintage: 131,402. 10 graded MS-63, 3 higher at PCGS. An immensely popular selection for type enthusiasts who want to introduce early gold to their cabinet, the classic head quarter eagle admittedly becomes a challenge in grades above MS-62, yet remains far more approachable than earlier types in like grade. Even at MS-63, the price tag can be acceptable for a better example. Bulbous definition affects the curl over the ear, but each star has been precisely sculpted, and the eagle's talons look perfectly defined. Innumerable, very fine wispy abrasions populate the wide expanses of the fields on the obverse, and along with a few vague abrasions in the reverse upper right field, likely formulate the primary grade determinant.
