Description: No Land Consignment. Consistent, even iron-grey patina provides a suitable backdrop for a scarce key-date Buffalo nickel in the lightly circulated EF-45 grade. As a member of the notorious 1920s San Francisco issues, these are frequently so poorly struck that even this better-than-average example features perhaps 80% of the horn, though on balance, the details everywhere else show decent sharpness. 1924-S is often plagued with laminations and other production anomalies, but not so this pleasant, refreshingly distraction-free example. Trivial hints of luster touch the outer field areas.
