Safeguarding Measures to Prevent Purchasing Stolen Property
All Scotsman purchases are documented, the driver’s license of the selling party is
scanned, and the property purchased is photographed and reviewed by law
enforcement officials.
Scotsman’s goal is to purchase only property that is being sold by the rightful owner of the property. Working
closely with law enforcement, Scotsman has helped to get criminals off the streets and property back in the
hands of their rightful owners.
As a Missouri purchaser of goods from the general public,
all Scotsman purchases are
documented, the driver’s license of the selling party is scanned, and the property
purchased is photographed and reviewed by law enforcement officials. Our video
cameras record every purchase.
If you believe an item of yours has been stolen, contact your local police right away. Providing a photograph
of the item stolen, a drawing, or a detailed written description will help them and us aid you in recovering
that item.
