Description: Recognizable as a semi-key within the series at the UNC level, 1924-S was once considered THE premier rarity, and becomes quite a financial investment at MS-64+ and up. The collector seeking strong value for his dollar would do well to consider this significantly more approachable example, as it exhibits much the same appearance of a fully choice Saint. Interestingly, an aged obverse die has created a "ripple" that surrounds almost the entire obverse, indicative of pending failure, but the effect provides considerable visual interest. The obverse is about as abraded as expected of MS-62, and a narrow pin scratch may be found above IN GOD on the reverse.
