Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1856-S AU details/damaged, and an 1861 MS-62, both PCGS
Lot Number: 741
Description: 1856-S represents a much tougher date in the gold dollar series, and the PCGS reference to "damage" evidently calls attention to a profusion of tiny, curving contact marks on each side, especially the reverse. 1861 proves to be a fairly attractive coin at the MS-62 level, albeit a bit "bright" for a gold piece of the era. Two coin lot.
