Lot Title: Three 1881-S, two MS-65, and one MS-64, all PCGS
Lot Number: 607
Description: Standing out from the usual parade of roll-white examples, each member of this trio features highly appealing tone on the obverse, mated to generally just lightly toned reverses, The lone MS-64 has nothing to be embarrassed about at all by comparison to its gem companions, since the colors are particularly vibrant, ranging from peach-silver at upper right, and descending through bands of teal, indigo, chartreuse, magenta, and slate-grey toward the lower left. One MS-65 example shows bands of similar alignment and progression, except in the exact opposite direction, while the other gem shows a predominance of blissful sea-green and midnight blue, partially surrounded by citrus-gold and chartreuse colors. Devastating eye-appeal for the color enthusiasts who may not be able to resist this three coin lot.
