Description: Tim Moeller Collection. Type I/I. Although NGC was quick to point out an innocuous and almost meaningless "cleaning" (really, straight MS-60 would have been adequate), what was not mentioned is the obverse doubled die that can be seen as doubling on most central devices slightly to the south. Almond-grey patina delicately embraces the surface and helps disguise the faint hairlines that are cause for NGC's concern. The reverse is superbly struck, and the obverse nearly so for this popular Carson City date.
