Description: Mintage: 29,890. O-101 is the only die-marriage for this single-die-pair date. "Very-fine" actually represents a "high grade" for 1802, and it is often the best grade an early half-dollar collector might hope to obtain, since the price rises so dramatically the closer one gets to the practically non-existent mint-state levels. While undeniably cleaned at some point, the rims have begun to recover a touch of color, and at least neither side sees any noticeable abrading. A single comma-shaped contact point rests close to Liberty's nose.
