Description: Greywolf Gorge Consignment. Collector appeal: "A" for the average grade range estimate of AG to Good. Substantially important as the key to a complete set of Mercury dimes, ANACS has certified as single 1916-D as grading AG-3, and it appears to be a terrific coin at that grade level, showing the expected merging of the reverse rim, yet with occasional separation from the peripheral letters nearly present in spots. This example completes one set of generally attractive dimes that exhibit a pleasing level of vintage grey quality, with grades that should range from AG to VG for early pieces. A second set lacks the 1916-D yet features coins of comparable grade, but neither collection features an overdate. Enticing quality for this lot reflects coins that nearly all reflect problem-free presence.
