Description: Collector appeal: "D" for lack of completion. Many coins are missing throughout this pair of albums, such as the four most difficult 3-cent nickels and nearly half the shield nickels. Still, we note a couple of important pieces, such as: 2-cent coins dated 1864 small motto (VG-8) and 1872 (VG-8); 3-cent coins dated 1880 (F), 1882 (VF), 1888 (XF), and 1889 (VF), and shield nickels dated 1866 (VF), 1873 (VF), and 1883 (AU).
