Lot Title: Pair of Michigan store-card tokens. 1863 WM Jackson Groceries MS-65 BN, and an 1863 James Kennedy MS-65 RB, both NGC
Lot Number: 329
Description: Berry Tree Collection. References indicate that the present 1863 "WM Jackson Groceries" (MS-65 BN) is the finest seen at NGC, and as expected, both sides seem to be completely free from marks. A swatch of original mint red makes ignorant inroads on both sides. The accompanying 1863 "James Kennedy" (MS-65 RB) is tied for the finest seen at NGC, this lustrous coin showing about equal portions of lovely brick-red and deep brown on both sides. Condition census examples in this two coin lot.
Estimate: $500-$650

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
