Description:	Kirk Paulenen Collection. Collector appeal: "A-" for the average grade range estimate of EF to AU. Although no 1921-S nor three-legged example is present, what is shown on balance represents a truly delightful partial collection of buffalo nickels that the consignor obviously intended to fill with full-horn coins. Indeed, he has placed each piece facing with the reverse up, and a surprising number of examples show substantial luster including (for example) 1914-S, 1915-D, 1917-D, 1919, 1920, 1920-S, 1921, 1924-D, and a considerable number of better mintmarked examples. Further, a few of the latest coins likely qualify as UNC, although it is quite a pleasant change of pace to know the consignor was quite satisfied with high-quality circulated pieces, and didn't allow "grade" to solely drive his interests.
