Description: 1880 absolutely gleams with alabaster whiteness, and although the reverse die shows the effects of considerable die polishing (i.e., missing details within the leaves, as struck), the obverse die was apparently very fresh. The strike on this side is so strong that even a delicate, fine die line shows on the throat. Accompanying is an 1883 that has the kind of softer detail typically expected of a circulation strike. Two coin lot.
