Description: The "transition" San Francisco small-cents for the Indian cent and Lincoln cent series appear in this pairing, but both have been deemed to have "AU details / cleaned" quality by NGC. The 1909-S Indian cent has evidence of glossy "off color" olive-tan on both sides, while 1909-S VDB possesses a strangely matte appearance despite glossy highlights. Puzzling quality in this two coin lot.
