Lot Number: 830
Description: The doubled-die obverse can be readily ascertained by looking at the Saint-Gaudens monogram, as well as doubling each digit in the date. NGC should have attributed this on the slab, but did not. Finely granulated texture proclaims the gem quality, along with long, steady bands of cartwheel luster. A gorgeous example that lacks any mentionable contact marks.
