Description: 1901 becomes a very expensive semi-key at the MS-60 level, just two points above the present AU-58, and above that .... forget about it, unless you have really deep pockets. Virtually all of the original luster remains for this near-mint example, propagating completely through the fields, and flowing very nearly across all the details. Russet-gold splashes here and there over silver-grey patina, and the strike definition appears to be somewhat sharper than usual for the date.
