Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1897-O PCGS MS-63
Lot Number: 708
Description: VAM-11 matches up the peripheral die cracks found connecting many letters on the reverse. 1897-O exists in vast quantities at any grade below MS-60, but at the mint-state level, its scarcity and corresponding value ramp dramatically upward. The present MS-63 represents the level at which the coin become recognizable as a very difficult acquisition, but remains reasonably approachable before it skyrockets to the realm of five digits. Pleasing white frost illuminates each side, and the obverse fields remain surprisingly clean for the grade despite a few small abrasions on the cheek.
