Description: 1887-O probably deserves more respect by collectors and price guides, as it seems to be underrated on both accounts compared to the number of examples actually available in the market at any given time. This eggshell-white MS-64 example assuredly falls close to the gem level, as the cheek shows essentially no marks, and flashing strobes of mint luster illuminate the fields. Not quite fully struck, some indefinite softness can be found over Liberty's ear.
