Description: VAM-5, a "Top 100" variety, has an 8/7 in the date paired to a reverse of 1879. Dusky eggshell-grey patina has settled over this example, delicately diffusing the shimmering luster beneath and probably helps explain NGC's MS-64 grade. As is sometimes the case for this VAM, the obverse displays faint striations on the cheek.
