Description: O-112a combines an "open mouth" obverse with a reverse that shows a solid sixth stripe in the shield. In this, the later "a" die-state, the dies have been repolished, eradicating some die lines previously beneath the 13th star, and the freshening of the dies has helped create shimmering reflectivity within the fields. The obverse looks utterly gorgeous for NGC's MS-63 grade, featuring splashes of navy-grey over scintillating silver-grey fields, but a splotchy dark patch over "5" in the denomination averts upgrade consideration.
