Description: Mintage: 14,640. The 1876 often comes with some prooflike tendencies, but not so this dancing, vibrant gem, as both sides feature a full complement of frosty, roving luster. Stunning, lustrous citrus-gold patina drapes the obverse, while the reverse features mostly silver-bright throughout, with a tinge of similar grapefruit color near the rims. Fortunately, the low mintage for the issue usually resulted in competent strikes, and close examination suggests that even the finest singular details have been imparted for this gem. A faint, solitary scratch across the upper torso appears to be the only grade determinant.
