Description: It certainly is a challenge to detect whatever "wear" PCGS saw as being the impetus for only an AU-58 grade -- the coin looks MS-62 for sure at first glance. Closer investigation reveals modest color shift within the fields, as well as a curving short scratch off to the right that might be the result of contact with someone's pocket contents. At any rate, eye-appeal is first-class for this captivating lavender-beige example, and the details are unusually sharp given that most Carson City examples feature insufficient relief at the shield and the upper edge of the eagle's left (observed) wing.
