Quarter-eagles might be described as follows: 1853 (XF, netted to that grade due to some light scratches, but also showing unexpected frosty luster for the grade level), 1908 (VG/cleaned, a seldom-seen level of heavy wear for the type), and 1909 (AU). Three coin lot.
