Lot Title: 1883-O Morgan silver dollar NGC MS-63 Star, and a 1952-S Franklin half-dollar PCGS MS-65+
Lot Number: 288
Description: Vida D. Bertie's Consignment. Were the grade technically a little higher for the 1883-O Morgan dollar, it would quite certainly represent an extraordinary level of value for the new owner. As it is, the aesthetics cannot be denied, as the obverse shimmers with preposterous (in a good way) vivid rainbow toning that looks like an artistic masterpiece; the reverse remains shining white. This has to be one of the most incredible beauties in today's sale. Accompanying is a 1952-S Franklin that is completely drenched on the obverse in crimson-gold toning, mated to album toning on the reverse that incorporates some shimmering rainbow hues. An utterly astonishing pair of type pieces that offers amazing eye-appeal within just a brief two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, CACG, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
