Lot Title: 1807 half-cent C-1 XF-40 BN, and an 1818 large cent MS-62 BN, both NGC
Lot Number: 281
Description: Although not so stated upon the slab insert, the 1818 cent (NGC MS-62 BN) attributes easily as Newcomb-10, a familiar Randall hoard die-marriage of which there are many hundreds of examples in existence. Ebony-brown patina layers over the entire coin, slightly interrupted by very faint underlying reddish color. Accompanying is an 1807 half-cent (NGC XF-40) properly attributed on the slab insert as C-1, and this example features considerable flowline texture for just the XF grade level, although a couple of faint, skinny scratches must be noted. Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, CACG, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
