Description: The old NGC "no line" holders were thought to tone silver coins back in the old days, but even the more recent lined holders sometimes have the appearance of inducing pretty colors, and that seems to be the case here. Intriguing salmon-gold and indigo-blue patterns push up against the top rim of the obverse and adhere to the bottom rim of the reverse. The Grant half-dollar "with star" is much rarer than its "no star" cousin, and this is a pleasing mark-free example that shows only a couple of tiny carbon crumbles flung into the left field.
