Lot Title: 1915-S Panama-Pacific PCGS MS-65
Lot Number: 243
Description: Considering how elusive the 1915-S Panama-Pacific half-dollar seems to be in gem grades, it's a bit of a surprise that PCGS and NGC have certified close to two-thousand pieces at that level or higher. Undoubtedly, the popularity of the issue helps explain why so few make it out into the open market. A lockdown gem, blazing, shimmering satin luster has become endowed with splashes of cinnamon-gold throughout, and features a nice frame of aqua-green nearer portions of the rim. A single linear abrasion across Liberty's neck appears to be the only distraction worth mentioning -- and it doesn't amount to much.
