Description: The entire coin gleams with deep mint-red color quite unexpected for the 1955 doubled-die Lincoln cent, since the vast majority of examples tend to be fairly well toned and dull. Furthermore, there are not quite as many contact marks as often appears at this grade, or even higher. A smattering of greenish patina splashes into the obverse right field.
