Description: VAM-2 has a dash beneath "8" in the date and also shows minor doubling of the "5". Although the population of 1885-CC in MS-66 does not suggest a high degree of rarity, this is an elusive and expensive issue in better grade -- typically four times as expensive (if not more). Wave after wave of astonishing luster roll through the fields, awash in frosty white brilliance. Evidence of die-clashing at Liberty's lips ("laced lips") suggests early dies for this particular striking.
