Description: B-14, BB-194 (R.3) attributes instantly after identifying the six irregular dots scattered through the first zero in the date. These die lumps are also responsible for the "dotted date" appellation, and B-14 is the only die-marriage with this obverse. Delightful dove-grey patina layers nicely over slightly frosty surfaces, attesting to an exceptional degree of original character. A couple of very narrow, trivial hairlines on the portrait have toned over very well through the course of (literally) centuries, the devices are sharply defined, and the entire surface is relatively unmarked by abrasions.
