Description: Most of the ramifications for gem quality are present for this MS-64 pairing, as both exude tremendous luster and deeply impressed strikes. 1917-D type-1 has an utterly gem-plus obverse, but NGC undoubtedly took a couple of points off the grade to account for a brief staple scratch at upper left of the reverse. A solitary tick on Liberty's head seems to be the only thing precluding MS-65 for the 1930. Two coin lot.
