Description: Mintage: 111,151. Despite a low mintage by comparison to other emissions in the double-eagle series, 1875-CC represents the most reasonably available Carson City issues. PCGS calls this AU-58, but the fields exhibit substantial frosty texture that shows no breaks in the luster, aside from several small ticks that pepper much of the obverse. Doubling on the reverse shows most strongly around the peripheral legend, with particularly noticeable doubling of TWENTY D.
