Description: Surfaces exhibit pleasing mint frost overall, along with pale golden color. That said, there is no particular evidence of hairlines or other unacceptable abrading of the surface. Only coin-to-coin contact appears to be the responsible for the multitude of tiny abrasions strewn throughout. 1873 "open 3" cannot be deemed a rare issue, but any earlier vintage double-eagle at the MS-61 level should be considered desirable.
