Description: Although given no premium in low grades, 1916-S begins to earn a noticeable premium at AU and higher grade. This NGC AU-55 justifies the grade with virtually full luster and only smooth, honest wear. Possibly a technical AU-58, the grade may have been netted down slightly due to a fairly significant linear abrasion on the cheek, and another in the lower right obverse field.
